[Agrias was inside Ovelia's bedchambers but a few moments after the initial scream. Was it improper to intrude unannounced? Perhaps, but this was hardly the time to worry about being proper.]
Princess!
[She hurried over to her bedside. A quick examination showed that there seemed to be no physical harm, yet it did little to set her at ease.]
[ Honestly, it was Agrias' presence that helped her ease out of the shock of her sudden waking, chest heavy with breath as one of her hands still clung to her blanket, knuckles white.
It took her a few moments to calm herself enough to speak, shaking her head. ]
'Twas... a n-nightmare... nothing more, Agrias...
[ To have inspired a reaction like that, it was no doubt difficult to dismiss it as an ordinary nightmare... Especially the way her other hand was clutching at her chest. ]
[Though she was sworn to Ovelia, the knight knew that she could not shield her from all the evils that chased her. Evils of the mind, those that would come for her as she slept... Agrias could only do so much, and the thought of being so powerless was infuriating.]
Forgive me for mine words, but do not think me ignorant.
Well aware am I of what haunts you to this day. Would that I could free you, and grant you a night of peace...
[It was her greatest desire.]
'Tis a futile question, I fear, but I would dare ask it anyways.
What can this knight do for you? You need not hesitate.
[ She knew Agrias wouldn't simply leave things alone. She couldn't, after all. And Ovelia would feel herself unable to do the same, were their roles different, either, so she couldn't blame her knight for her insistence. Even so... she was hard pressed to think of anything, besides... ]
Perhaps a glass of milk will help settle me... Ah, but tis so late. I doubt the kitchen staff would welcome us at this hour...
[ She wanted to argue that Agrias' service was a pledge, a matter of knight's fealty, bound into law and strict in its definitions. But the words simply never formed, and the thoughts simply disappeared into the fog of her mind, along with the waning details of what nightmare even haunted her. ]

Are you alright? Pray, tell me what has happened.

I'll only be but a moment.
[She hurried as much as she was able to, knowing that silence and solitude would only make the darkness creep back inside Ovelia's thoughts.]
For you, my lady.

[ And yet, she honestly should have expected this, the moment she said anything. ]

[She not only gave her the milk, but a smile as well.]

I know not what I have done to deserve your continued grace...

Nothing more.
[A brief pause.]
Might I ask to sit with you?

If it pleases you...
